Since 1896 Goodwill Rescue Mission has met the short-term, emergency needs of the hurting and homeless of Newark and Essex County caught in the cycles of poverty, hopelessness, and dependencies of many kinds with compassionate care services--hot food, safe shelter, warm showers, hygiene items and fresh, clean clothes, and encouragement from God’s word.

Emergency Shelter And Showers
?Our emergency shelter provides a secure place to sleep, as well as hot meals, clothing, hygiene products, and access to warm showers.

While Newark sleeps, our staff is on duty serving as many as 43 men each night (expanded during inclement weather). Without Goodwill Rescue Mission, many would be alone on the streets.

Meals
Thanks to the support of friends like you, Goodwill Rescue Mission offers hope to hundreds of men, women, and children suffering from homelessness, addiction, hunger, and abuse. With your help, we’ll serve over 100,000 meals to hungry people in need this year.
